Does anyone have a count of how many of these Hollywood embarrassments are floating around online at this point?According to TMZ, the video is actually a few years old, taken by her then-boyfriend.

Apparently though, the sex tape doesn't live up to the hype of a lot of other celebrity ones (e.g.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee).

TMZ indicated that it's mostly a lot of nude scenes and nothing too graphic.

Nevertheless, no ones wants their mom to know they have something like this being distributed online.

Unfortunately for Leighton Meester, celebhotline.com is trying to close a deal to put the video up on their site.

If you make a sex tape and you are at all well-known (politician, musician, actor) there's a good chance some of us can eventually access it from our home computers .

On the other hand, do sex tapes actually boost one's career? Maybe it's worth it to leak it yourself and just feign shock.

Look at celebs such as Kim Kardashian, Ray J, and Paris Hilton.

Had they not made those tapes, perhaps none of us would know who they are today.What do you think?
